Support group for grieving parents

On Sunday, October 28, North Shore University Hospital’s Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support program will hold a special event for parents who have lost a pregnancy or infant.
Entitled “A Time to Remember,” the program will feature a keynote address by Jeanne P. Beggins, the author of “A Book of James.” It is a collection of visitor letters from a journal written to her infant son while he was in palliative care. The topic of her address will be “Don’t Play the Blame Game.”
The event will begin at 9 a.m. with a light breakfast. It will also include an interfaith memorial service.
There is no fee for participants, although a $15 donation would be appreciated.
“A Time to Remember” will take place in North Shore University Hospital’s Rust Auditorium. It is located at 300 Community Drive in Manhasset.
