I am a graduate of Christopher Columbus High School, so when I receive an opportunity to go back to the school, I jump at it. It feels good to give back.
I always go to Columbus to cover various sporting events, but last week, I received an opportunity to go back to my news roots and report on some changes taking place at the school.
Columbus is really turning things around. The lunchroom is amazing and when the library renovations are completed over the summer, I think the school will be the example on how to turn a building of learning into a hub of the community. It makes me proud to be a Columbus alumnus.
