Celebrating across cultures

St. Mary Gate of Heaven School in Ozone Park recently celebrated Catholic Schools Week. One of the many events during this week was Cultural Day. Children were encouraged to dress in clothing representative of their cultural background, and were able to taste foods from around the world. The multi-cultural dishes were prepared by the students’ families.
