Cops shoot man holding knife

A knife-wielding man was shot dead by police officers on Dec. 22.
Officers from the 104 precinct responded to a 911 call of a man with a knife. According to police, when the man was confronted, officers discharged their firearms and struck the male several times about the body. EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead. The officers were moved to Jamaica Hospital for trauma and minor injuries.
The identification of the man is pending family notification.
