Allstate Insurance Agent Joseph DiBlasi, a volunteer at Howard Beach’s S.T.A.R.S. (Striving to Achieve & Reach Success), gave a $1,000 grant to the organization recently.
DiBlasi, whose office is on Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria, received the Agency Hands in the Community Award for his commitment to volunteering. With the award came the $1000 grant from The Allstate Foundation, which he in turn gave to S.T.A.R.S.
“Joseph is an active and respected member of the business community, protecting people with insurance and financial services products,” said Larry Sedillo, assistant field vice president at Allstate Insurance Company. “He also makes a point of getting involved personally by dedicating his time and efforts to making a difference in people’s lives.
“Allstate believes that it is very important for corporations to take an active interest in the communities they serve. Allstate is proud to support S.T.A.R.S. through The Allstate Foundation,” concluded Sedillo.
