Queens Library customers in Corona will now have the ability to check their materials in and out using a self-service technology.
According to the library, the new service will provide their customers with a faster, accurate and convenient experience. The return kiosk will be open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, where customers will be able to return books, videos, and other library materials on their own schedules.
A spokesperson from the Queens Library noted the machine was funded by allocations from Councilmember Julissa Ferreras who provided $200,000 towards the project.
The Queens Library is a not-for-profit corporation, which has served a population of 2.3 million in the United States and 23 million items in circulation in the 2010 fiscal year.
