One of the state’s most powerful proponents of entrepreneurism visited the Entrepreneur Space in Long Island City last Thursday, Jan. 12. Kenneth Adams, who is president and CEO of the Empire State Development Corporation and commissioner of the NYS Department of Economic Development, toured the 12,500-sq.-ft., city-sponsored food-and-business incubator, which features a fully equipped commercial kitchen, offices and classrooms. While there, he discussed ways that the state government can help start-up businesses and partnership opportunities involving other state agencies and private sector companies with a group that included City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer, Assemblywoman Catherine Nolan and Queens Economic Development Corporation (QEDC) Executive Director Seth Bornstein.
