A champion baton twirler from Glendale has been selected to help represent the U.S. at the World Baton Twirling Federation Championships in France this August. Trina Catterson, 11, and her partner, Toni Ann Cox of Deer Park, L.I., will be competing with other teams from around the world for the Junior Pairs World Title. Catterson and Cox made the American team after competing at the U.S. Baton Twirling Association trials in Stockton, Ca. on Apr. 1. Catterson is an honors student at P.S./I.S. 113 who has already won four grand national champion titles and was the AAA Juvenile Freestyle Champion in 2011.
