Nine-year-old Jayda Skye Irizarry recently qualified for the Junior Olympics in taekwondo at a Mar. 31 qualifying tournament at Queens college, taking second place. Skye will travel to Dallas, Tx. in June for a shot at Junior Olympic gold. The student of P.S. 81 in Ridgewood currently holds a 42-1 fighting record in the WTF and USAT federations.
