Mansion Catches Fire In Forest Hills

No injuries were reported after a one-alarm fire broke out inside a mansion in Forest Hills Gardens on Monday morning, Aug. 20, FDNY sources said. Reportedly, the blaze ignited at around 8:10 a.m. at a residence located in the vicinity of 71st (Continental) Avenue and Dartmouth Street. Among the units which responded to the location (listed in numerical order) were Engine companies 293, 294, 305 and 319; Ladder companies 125, 138, 143 and 151; Squad Co. 288; Rescue 4 and Battalions 50 and 51-under the direction of Division 14-along with the 112th Precinct and EMS units. Two hose lines were used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, it was reported.
