Two men impersonating utility workers pushed their way into an elderly man’s home in Queens and robbed him, said the NYPD.
The suspects told the victim, who, according to media reports, is about 90 years old and lives in Rego Park, that they were there to read the meter. The victim opened the door willingly, then the robbers pushed their way into his home and stole $300 in cash and a cell phone, said police. The suspects immediately fled on foot.
The victim was not injured.
