The city’s medical examiner is looking into the cause of death of an Ozone Park man whose body was found on a Cypress Hills street early on Monday morning, Jan. 14, it was reported.
Kowlessar Jawahir, 51, of 97th Street was discovered by 75th Precinct officers lying unconscious and unresponsive in front of a location on Logan Street near Dinsmore Place at 2:05 a.m. Monday morning.
EMS units were called to the location and pronounced Jawahir dead at the scene. His body was then transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
A spokesperson for the medical examiner’s office on Tuesday stated that Jawahir’s cause of death is unknown pending further study.
The investigation is ongoing.
