The St. Margaret’s/Resurrection Ascension Flyers track team scored impressive results at its first track meet of the indoor season, the CYO Ragazzo Relays on Mar. 10 at St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington, L.I.
In the 1,000-meter run for the Ragazzo title, senior girl Jillian Hubert and senior boy Ted Colter both took first place. It was the first time members of the St. Margaret’s/Resurrection Ascension Flyers swept this event.
For the boys, in the peewee division, Sebastian Audrin took second place in the standing long jump. Seniors Lucas Jett, Noel Maairh and Julian Corredor secured second place in the same category.
Matthew Bonora, Jack Di- Bathista, Robert Geraci and Andrew Kelly won second place in the novice 4×50 relay. Owen Kelly, Matthew Chiarowana, Michael Hubert and Seamus Girdusky won second place in the bantam boys 800m medley.
Christian Audrin, Keelan Kenny, Ricky Hubert and Kevin Girdusky won the novice 800m relay. Meanwhile, bantams Joseph Browne, JorgeAguilar, Fion Kelly and Danny Greenwald finished fourth in the 4×100 relay.
Finally, Brian Kelly finished second place in the junior standing long jump, and John Ostling, Angel Faican, Aaron Sheridan and Daniel Longcar finished second place in the junior 4×100 relay.
In the girls division, peewee Juliette Bonora, novice Lin Finnegan and bantam Nylah Chatel all took second place in the standing long jump. Mackenzie Collin, Emily Browne, Violette Harvey and Isabelle Audrin won the novice 800m medley.
Zara Nafa, Sarah Lydon, Grace Bonora andAoit Kenny finished second in the bantam 800m medley. Liana Felice, Rebecca Hurson and Gabriella Mattson took second place in the junior/senior 400m medley.
The Flyers coaches-Mark Codd, Dennis Fey and Michael Loftus- congratulated their team for their fine efforts.
