Queens-bound No. 7 train straphangers will encounter delays and skipped stations as the MTA replaces track panels during the upcoming weekend.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority begins work at 11:45 p.m. Friday and will wrap up the project at 5 a.m. Monday.
During that time, Main Street trains will run on the middle express track as work proceeds on the local eastbound line. Because of the nature of the work, however, those trains will frequently stop to allow cranes to remove and replace panels.
In addition, Flushing trains will run express from Queensboro Plaza to Mets-Willets Point. Riders will then be required to switch to a Manhattan-bound train for all missed stops.
