Gottschee Players Crowned Champs

The Blau Weiss Gottshcee 2001 Blue Pre-Academy team were named the U13 champions at the Soccer Coliseum in Teaneck, New Jersey on Sunday, Dec. 29. The boys beat the Met Oval 2001 Pre-Academy team 2-0 in the semi-finals before defeating World-Class U13 in the finals, 3-1. The team was anchored by Matt Goodman at goal, who frustrated the competition all day by giving up only six goals in five games while Gottschee scored a total of 17 for the day.
