State Sen. Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. spent an afternoon reading aloud to children of P.S. 58 School of Heroes in Maspeth on Tuesday, May 27. The main character of the story he read, Joseph in “Joseph Had a Little Overcoat,” works as a farmer and relays the lesson “you can always make something out of nothing,” to the students. “I always enjoy visiting classrooms and interacting with students. This story is one of perseverance, which I believe is a valuable trait to instill into our youth,” Addabbo said. “Not only do I enjoy getting face-time with the kids but I also am grateful for the opportunity to encourage them to stay on a successful path throughout their education and hopefully their lives,” he said.
