Members of the Glendale Community Garden made their 88th Street greenspace more ecofriendly on Sunday, July 13, by building new compost heap containers. The project was funded through grants from the Citizens Committee for New York City and assistance from the Kiwanis Club of Glendale and Queens Botanical Garden. The volunteers (pictured from left to right) are Jeremy Tepermy, Tracy Baglivio, Aleks Jagiello, Angela De Roberts, Dorie Figliola (the garden’s founder), Daria D’Elia, Gian D’Elia.
