More Disruptions

To Hit The 7 Line

All 7 train service will be suspended between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street from 11:45 p.m. Monday night, Aug. 18, until 5 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19. During this period, 7 trains will only operate between Queensboro Plaza and Main Street-Flushing.

For alternate service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer to the N train at Queensboro Plaza or Times Square-42nd Street or the E or F trains at 74th Street-Roosevelt Avenue.

Moreover, free shuttle buses will replace 7 trains in Long Island City between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue. These buses will stop at Queens Plaza for ADA access to the E train.

The shuttle buses will stop as follows:

– Queensboro Plaza-on Queens Plaza South at 27th Street;

– Queens Plaza-on 42nd Road at Jackson Avenue;

– Court Square-23rd Street-on Jackson Avenue at 45th Avenue (to Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue) or at Thomson Avenue (to Queensboro Plaza);

– Hunters Point Avenue-on 21st Street at 49th Avenue; and

– Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue-on Vernon Boulevard at 50th Avenue.

Additionally, Flushing-bound 7 trains will skip the 33rd Street, 40th Street, 46th Street, 52nd Street and 69th Street stations on Wednesday, Aug. 20, through Friday, Aug. 22, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m. These trains will continue to stop at Woodside-61st Street.

For service to the skipped stops, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or 74th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to a Flushingbound 7 train.

Fastrack Repairs Affect A, C, E & M

The MTA’s Fastrack service and maintenance program will affect A, C, E and M train service late nights on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 14-15, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.

E trains will run on the M line between 71st-Continental Avenues and 34th Street-Herald Square, and on the F line between 34th Street-Herald Square and Second Avenue, which will be the last stop.

As a result of this change, M train service between Myrtle Avenue- Broadway and 71st-Continental Avenues will end before 10 p.m. Thursday. M trains will revert to a shuttle between Myrtle Avenue- Broadway and Metropolitan Avenue-Middle Village.

For service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer to or from the J train at Myrtle Avenue-Broadway.

Also during this period, A trains will make local stops and run on the D line between 59th Street-Columbus Circle and 34th Street-Herald Square; and on the F line between 34th Street- Herald Square and Jay Street-MetroTech. C train service will end early.

Weekend Local Svc. For E & F In Queens

E trains will operate local service in both directions between Queens Plaza and 71st-Continental Avenues, and all F trains will run local in both directions between 21st Street- Queensbridge and 71st-Continental Avenues, this weekend, from 12:30 am. Saturday, Aug. 16, until 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

Switch Of Lines For F Trains To Manhattan

Manhattan-bound F trains will run on the M line between Roosevelt Avenue and 47th-50th Streets this weekend, from 11:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, until 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18.

As a result, Manhattan-bound F train service will not be available at the 21st Street-Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Avenue- 63rd Street and 57th Street stations.

For service to these stops, take the F train to 47th-50th Streets, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound F train. For service from these stations, take the F train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound F train.

It was noted that R train service will be extended to the Jamaica-179th Street F train station all this weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

Weekend Disruption On A Line In Oz. Pk.

A train service between Rockaway Boulevard and Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard will be suspended this weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, until 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18. During this period, A trains will operate between 207th Street in Manhattan and either Howard Beach- JFK Airport or Mott Avenue-Far Rockaway.

Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service in Ozone Park between the 80th Street and Lefferts Boulevard stations. Riders can transfer between the shuttle buses and the A train at 80th Street.

The shuttle buses will stop as follows:

– 80th Street-on Liberty Avenue at 80th Street;

– 88th Street (Manhattan-bound only)-on Liberty Avenue at 88th Street;

– Rockaway Boulevard-on 93rd Street at Liberty Avenue (to Lefferts Boulevard) or on Liberty Avenue at 93rd Street (to 80th Street);

– 104th Street-on Liberty Avenue at 104th Street;

– 111th Street-on Liberty Avenue at 111th Street; and

– Lefferts Boulevard-on Lefferts Boulevard at Liberty Avenue.

Station Renewal Comes To A Line

The Ozone Park/Far Rockawaybound platform at the 88th Street station and the Ozone Park-bound platform at the 104th Street station on the A line remain shut through September as part of an ongoing station renewal project.

For service to the 88th Street station, take the A train to Rockaway Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train. For service to the 101st Street station, take a Lefferts Boulevard/Ozone Parkbound A train to 111th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train.

For service from these stations, take the A train to either Rockaway Boulevard or 80th Street, then transfer to an Ozone Park-bound or a Far Rockaway-bound A train.

Sandy Repairs Close G Train Bet. LIC & Bk.

As part of the MTA’s Fix & Fortify Hurricane Sandy repair program, G train service between Court Square and Nassau Avenue is suspended through 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2. During this period, G trains will operate normally between Nassau Avenue and Church Avenue.

Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service on two routes. One shuttle bus will run along Manhattan Avenue between Nassau Avenue and Court Square, stopping near the closed G train stations. Another shuttle bus will run along McGuinness Boulevard between Court Square and the Lorimer Street G/L train station, making stops near G train stations.

Riders can transfer between the G train and the Manhattan Avenue shuttle bus at Greenpoint Avenue or the McGuiness Boulevard shuttle bus at the corner of Lorimer Street and Metropolitan Avenue.
