Four members of the 112th Precinct picked up Cop of the Month awards for their outstanding work during the 112th Precinct Community Council meeting last Monday night, Oct. 27, at the Forest Hills stationhouse. Police Officers Thomas Daniele and Michael Carswell of the precinct’s Grand Larceny Unit (left photo) were recognized for arresting four men on Oct. 2 who allegedly tried to remove tires and rims off a parked vehicle in the precinct’s confines. Additionally, Police Officers Terrence Williams and John Tan (right photo) received awards for arresting three men-one of whom was armed with a semi-automatic gun-who got into a dispute following a recent vehicular accident. Presenting the officers with their plaques were Capt. Judith Harrison, 112th Precinct commanding officer; Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi, the meeting’s guest speaker; Heidi Harrison Chain, precinct council president; and other precinct council members.
