A lockdown has been lifted at Jamaica High School after students were apparently mistaken for intruders Thursday afternoon, reports said.

The campus, located at 167-01 Gothic Dr., which now houses five small schools, went on lockdown at about 1:15 p.m. according to ABC New York. The lockdown was lifted around the time of dismissal, at 3:15 p.m., and students were allowed to leave the building.

According to ABC, the kids were trying to sneak back into the school after cutting class and were wearing ski masks to hide their faces from video cameras, causing the lockdown.
