This adorable South Ozone Park kitten found himself in a pickle Wednesday after he got stuck in a sewer drain.
The trouble occurred at the intersection of 122nd Place and Sutter Avenue, where a kitten was blown over by a gardener’s leaf blower right into a sewer and was stuck there for almost six hours.
Luckily, no case is too small for police officers from the 106th Precinct. With the assistance of the Emergency Service Unit and Field Rescue Supervisor from Animal Care Centers of NYC, Kevin Sexton, they carefully fished out the scared creature from the drain.
The 106th Precinct tweeted a picture of the kitten at about 3:53 p.m. Wednesday, with the hashtag #ItsWhatWeDo.
According to Animal Care Centers of NYC, the kitten was named Sam A1076666, and is approximately 9 weeks old. He is currently on the stray-wait at their Brooklyn Care Center, and interested adopters should email adoption[at]nycacc.org
