Detectives need the public’s help in tracking down a man wanted for questioning in connection with the rape of a 52-year-old woman at a Flushing karaoke bar last month.
The sexual assault took place at about 2:39 a.m. on the morning of July 14 inside Flower Karaoke at 162-05 Crocheron Ave. in the Murray Hill section of the neighborhood.
According to law enforcement sources, the victim socialized with the suspect for a couple of hours prior to the attack. The pair wound up in a rented room inside the bar, where the suspect raped the woman and fled.
Officers from the 109th Precinct and EMS units responded to reports of the attack. Paramedics brought the victim to Queens Hospital, where a rape kit was collected as part of the investigation.
Police described the perpetrator as an Asian male between 40 and 50 years of age who was last seen wearing an orange shirt and black pants. He also speaks Korean.
