Police are looking for a woman who uttered Islamophobic remarks at a 26-year-old woman and then assaulted her on a Jamaica street earlier this month.
According to police, at 8:20 p.m. on Monday, March 6, the unidentified female suspect approached the victim in the vicinity of Sutphin Boulevard and 109th Avenue. After approaching her, the suspect started to make anti-Muslim remarks toward the victim.
Seconds later, the female assailant punched the victim on the side of the neck, then fled the scene northbound on Sutphin Boulevard. The incident was reported to the 103rd Precinct.
Police described the suspect as a black female with brightly colored hair who was last seen wearing a multi-colored jacket, a dark colored shirt, dark colored pants and boots.
