Police have a California man in custody in connection to a Halloween night shooting in Ridgewood last year.

According to law enforcement sources, Adrian Porter, 20, from Inglewood, CA, was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, April 3, for his involvement in the Oct. 31, 2016, shooting of a 23-year-old man in front of a home on Norman Street between Seneca and Cypress avenues.

Reports of the shooting said that Porter engaged in a dispute with the two individuals outside of the Ridgewood home. Porter then took out a gun and shot the 23-year-old victim in the arm before attempting to flee the scene inside of a silver Hyundai.

During the incident, a 29-year-old man was also shot in both legs, Porter’s connection to that shooting is currently unclear.

Porter is charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, cops said.
