Knife-wielding thief tries to steal drugs from a Corona pharmacy, cops say

Police are looking for a man who assaulted a Corona pharmacy employee in a failed attempt to steal drugs on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, at 12:32 p.m. on May 3, an unknown man walked into the Corona Heights Pharmacy located at 106-07 Corona Ave. He flashed a knife to a 64-year-old employee, grabbed the employee’s shirt and demanded prescription medication.

The suspect then pushed the employee and fled the scene empty handed.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male believed to be 23 years of age, standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark clothing.

Cops released his image as well as a picture of a white sedan spotted at the scene.
