A Jamaica teen was arrested last week for allegedly luring him to a beatdown outside a Forest Hills school earlier this month, where he and several accomplices assaulted and stabbed him.

According to the criminal complaint provided by the Queens District Attorney’s office, at around 4 p.m. on May 5, Kevin Alvarez, 17, of Jamaica, called the 18-year-old victim and told the victim to meet him outside of P.S. 175, located at 64-35 102nd St.

Upon his arrival, the victim saw Alvarez and about 30 other students waiting for him. Law enforcement sources said the group chased the victim down the street, catching up to him at 65th Road.

The group then began to attack the victim, with Alvarez stabbing the victim in his right side while the other students punched and kicked the victim repeatedly.

In addition to the stab wound, the victim suffered a laceration to the back of the head as well as cuts and bruises to his face and hands. He was treated at a local hospital, where his injuries were found to be non-life threatening.

Alvarez was arrested on Thursday, May 11, and arraigned on two assault charges and one menacing charge the following day. He is being held on $150,000 bail, cash or bond, and is due to return to court on May 25. If convicted, Alvarez could spend seven years in prison.
