Two crooks installed ATM skimming device inside a Maspeth McDonald’s restaurant

These two men were trying to steal some identities in a flash when they installed an ATM skimming device at a popular fast food chain in Maspeth last week.

According to police, the two suspects entered the McDonald’s restaurant located at 59-60 55th Rd. just off the Long Island Expressway service road, between the hours of 9:10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, where they installed a skimming device along with a false panel with an attached camera to an ATM inside the location, then fled.

Reportedly, a user discovered the skimmer on the machine and notified management, which then contacted the 104th Precinct.

Law enforcement agents have described the first individual as a white male, approximately 20-30 years old, who was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black short sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.

The second individual has been described as a white male, approximately 20-30 years of age, last seen wearing a gray sweat jacket, black short sleeved shirt, dark colored shorts, Nike sneakers, and light colored baseball hat.
