Residents of Woodhaven are gearing up for the sixth-annual Great Woodhaven Yard Sale this weekend, where people from all over the neighborhood come together to buy and sell their used or new goods.
Over 60 homes across the community will have their tables set up looking to sell everything from clothing, toys, games, furniture, jewelry, books, appliances, and almost anything else you could imagine. People from all over Queens travel to Woodhaven to browse the wide variety of wares.
This year’s yard sale will take place on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but residents can be seen setting up their tables earlier than that. And in case of inclement weather, the rain date for the event will be Sunday, Sept. 24.
If you don’t want to wait until Saturday to see what people will have to offer, you can visit the Great Woodhaven Yard Sale Facebook page where many residents post some of the things they will be selling at the yard sale. You can also check out the updated map pinpointing all of the registered homes participating in the event.
If bargain hunters get hungry while saving some cash, All Saints Episcopal Church is hosting their Annual International Food Fair at 85-45 96th St. from noon to 5 p.m. For more information visit www.allsaintswoodhaven.org.
