Bandit with a busted nose steals thousands from a south Queens bank

Cops need the public’s help in finding a thief who swiped thousands from a bank branch in Cambria Heights on Thursday afternoon.

Police said the caper occurred at 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the Chase bank located at 205-32 Linden Blvd.

According to law enforcement sources, the bandit  described as a black man believed to be 25 years of age with brown eyes and a bandage on his nose  approached a teller and handed over a demand note. The employee complied with his request and provided the suspect with approximately $4,414 in cash.

The suspect took the money and fled the scene in an unknown direction. The 113th Precinct responded to the reported robbery, and the NYPD later released images of the perpetrator captured by bank security cameras.
