A Jamaica man who admitted to forcing a young girl into having sex with him and then pimping her out to various men in 2016 is heading to prison, prosecutors announced Wednesday.
Reagan “Flex” Conception, 29, pleaded guilty to one count of sex trafficking in April. He was sentenced to serve 6 to 12 years in prison.
According to charges, Conception admitted that he forced a then 14-year-old girl into engaging in prostitution acts with other men for money between September and November of 2016. When the victim wouldn’t comply, Conception would threaten and physically assault her.
District Attorney Richard A. Brown said that Conception would take from the victim whatever money she made from the sex acts, and that he also forced the victim to have sex with him on multiple occasions.
“The defendant profited from prostituting a young girl. Using physical force and threats, he coerced the teenager into having sex dates with men for money,” Brown said. “Fortunately, this youngster was able to escape, but she will live with the memory of this horrible experience for the rest of her life. The defendant will live in prison for many years to come as a result of his actions.”
