It seemed like just last month that Terminal 4, JFKIAT held it Employee Appreciation Day but it was a year ago.
As they say, time flys when you are having fun. And it was a FUN day. New CEO Roel Huinink was making the rounds introducing himself to many of the T4 employees and partners of the terminal.
Brianna Comber of T4 put the program together with the help of others in the terminal and it was appreciated by all. SSP foods provided excellent grub, Schindler elevator provided a photo booth, and other partners contributed to fun and games. Besides T4 employees many of the terminals friends in the PAPD, TSA, CBP. Swissport, Hallmark, Allways, ABM and others were welcome to enjoy the festivities. Raffle tickets were sold by T4 for eventual donation to one of their many charitable organizations. It was a great day for old associates to meet up and share some news as well as for new employees to mingle with their new friends as they ate and played their way through the lunch hour or break.
Roel Huinink is easing into the role of former CEO Gert-Jan, but we did not see the whipped pie station visible this year. We will have to wait until next year before this new CEO is settled in enough to take on this messy challenge.
