Smashburger recently opened a new location in Maspeth, making it the 18th store in New York and third in Queens.
The newest store — located at 59-11 Maurice Ave. — opened Wednesday, June 29, and has been performing better than expected, according to Steve Sherlock, regional vice president for the area.
“Queens has been a great area for us,” Sherlock said. “With Maspeth being both a residential and commercial area, it truly was the perfect place to not only serve breakfast but also bring delicious burgers, shakes and fries to the community.”
The Smashburger menu features the brand’s signature, and never frozen, Angus beef burgers smashed on a hot seasoned grill, as well as grilled and crispy chicken sandwiches, turkey and black bean burgers and salads.
“Smashburger continues to be a leading fast-casual better burger restaurant bringing delicious burgers, shakes and fries to communities like Queens where we now have three locations,” said Carl Bachmann, president of Smashburger.
Smashburger also includes a breakfast menu with egg and cheese sandwiches on toasted brioche with a choice of bacon or sausage. There is also a Breakfast Smashburger, topped with an egg, bacon and aged cheddar on toasted brioche with a side of Breakfast Tots.
“Those who live and work in Maspeth now have another Smashburger restaurant open early for breakfast to make it even easier to enjoy a morning egg and cheese sandwich or tasty burger any time of day every day,” Sherlock said.
Smashburger is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. The 2,381-square-foot restaurant offers seating for 49 guests.
