The NYPD has identified a suspect who allegedly mugged an 85-year-old woman inside a Jackson Heights parking garage last month.

Investigators have determined that 32-year-old Sidiky Gassama is the man who snuck up on the elderly woman as she was using a walker inside an underground garage located at 74-10 35th Avenue just after 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, and shoved her to the ground.

Gassama allegedly removed the victim’s purse, which was in the walker, and fled the parking garage on foot to the 74th Street and Roosevelt Avenue transit hub, police said.

The victim sustained minor injuries to the right side of her body and was treated at the crime scene by EMS. The stolen purse contained the woman’s credit cards and personal ID.

The NYPD released a headshot of Gassama on Wednesday and described him as being 5 feet 8 inches tall and around 200 pounds, with a heavy build and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat with the White Sox logo on the front, a light-colored face mask, a black winter jacket with yellow trim, black pants and black shoes.
