NYPD searching for crook who snatched woman’s cellphone from her pocket in Ozone Park

The NYPD is calling upon the public to help identify and/or find the man wanted in connection with a grand larceny that took place in Ozone Park last month.

On Saturday, Aug. 12, at approximately 6 p.m., a 25-year-old female victim was walking at the corner of 81st Street and 102nd Avenue in Ozone Park — within the confines of the 102nd Precinct — when the perpetrator approached her from behind, riding on a bicycle. He snatched her cellphone out of her back pocket and fled the scene on the bicycle heading toward Liberty Avenue, according to the NYPD.

The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of this incident, police said.

According to the NYPD, the suspect is believed to be in his 20s and is approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall and 170 pounds, with a dark complexion, medium build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and black pants.
