A free community day of fun, sponsored by Senator Joseph P. Addabbo Jr. at Laser Bounce, a family entertainment center at the Shops at Atlas Park, brought hundreds of families together on Friday, August 16, for one last summer celebration before the school year begins.
Addabbo, representing the Glendale area in the State Senate District 15, partnered with Laser Bounce, located at 80-28 Cooper Ave. in Glendale, to allow neighbors to have a space to enjoy and help the business become further recognized by all community members.
“Seeing parents and grandparents have such a great time with their kids and grandkids, playing games and strengthening generational bonds, made it a truly special day,” Addabbo said. “It was a day where everyone could embrace their inner child and simply have fun. I would like to thank Laser Bounce and owner, Ryan D’Amico, for their generosity in allowing us to use their space.”
The Queens Laser Bounce location showcased some of its most immersive games to the nearly 200 families who attended the day of play. The Ballocity Arena, a multi-level platformer featuring blasters, vacuum cannons and other ball launchers, allowed kids to strengthen their bodies and minds.
Another standout attraction, Bounce Park, creates a modern-day obstacle course to help kids embrace their inner action heroes. The Bounce Park merges trampolining with inflatables to keep kids entertained for hours on end.
A game available for all ages, LED Laser Tag Arena also provides a larger age range of players to shoot targets and embrace an immersive black light style futuristic experience.
Laser Bounce Owner Ryan D’Amico, welcomed guests to the grand day of fun and says the takeaway of it all is how the act of play brings community together.
“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for our first Community Day at Laser Bounce – Queens,” said D’Amico, also sharing his thanks with Addabbo for backing the collaborative event.
