Police from the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst are looking for three men who slugged an 18-year-old store worker with brass knuckles during a robbery at the Queens Place Mall in late July.

The incident occurred on the night of Thursday, July 25, when the three assailants entered 88-01 Queens Blvd. just before 9 p.m. and approached the victim. One of the suspects punched him in the face with the brass knuckles, chipping his teeth, causing substantial redness and pain, police said. The perpetrators removed some office equipment before running off in an unknown direction. The victim sustained minor injuries but was not hospitalized.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the three suspects entering the store and described one as having a slim build and a medium complexion who wore a white t-shirt with a pink design on the front, black ripped jeans and white sneakers. The second suspect has a slim build and a medium complexion. He wore a black knit cap, a black t-shirt, black jeans and white and silver sneakers with a tote bag hanging from his shoulder. The third suspect is described as having a slim build with a light complexion and wearing a black face mask, a black t-shirt, tan cargo pants and black and white sneakers.

Through Aug. 25, the 110th Precinct has reported 334 robberies so far in 2024, 43 more than the 291 reported at the same point last year, an increase of 14.8%, according to the most recent CompStat report. Assaults are also rising in the precinct, with 552 reported this year, 70 more than the 482 reported at the same point in 2023, an increase of 14.5%, according to CompStat.
