A Queens Village man was killed after he became trapped in his bedroom after a fire swept through a home at 218-59 110th Ave. on Sunday afternoon.

The FDNY received 911 calls just after 3:30 p.m. after the blaze broke out in the attic of the 2.5-story wood frame home between Springfield Blvd. and 221st St. in Queens Village.

Calvin White, 62, was found dead inside a second-story bedroom, officials said. The fire was brought under control at 4:30 p.m., and no other civilians were found during a search of the home. FDNY fire marshals will determine the cause of the blaze.

Inspectors from the city’s Department of Buildings went to the scene for a structural stability inspection at the premises, a detached wood-framed building and found significant interior fire damage to the second-floor where White had been found. DOB issued a full vacate order on the property due to the fire damage and ordered an emergency seal of the building in the interest of public safety.
