Police are investigating the death of a man who was found shot in Rosedale on Thursday night.

According to police, at 10:23 p.m. on Sept. 13, officers responded to a 911 call regarding a person shot on 249th Street. Upon their arrival, the officers saw a red Honda Accord had struck a light pole.

Inside the car, cops found 42-year-old Orville Scott in the driver’s seat of the car with a gunshot wound in his head.

EMS responded to the scene and transported Scott to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
