Police are investigating the suspicious death of a man who was found in a Jackson Heights apartment.
According to authorities, at 7:47 p.m. on Feb. 9, police responded to a call regarding an unconscious person inside 37-41 79th St., apartment 6A. Upon their arrival, officers from the 115th Precinct found a 57-year-old man in the back bedroom, unconscious and unresponsive on the floor.
EMS responded to the location and declared the victim dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. Sources familiar with the investigation indicated that the victim’s death “did not appear to be natural causes.”
The investigation is ongoing.
