Thurs., Feb. 26 – New York Families for Autistic Children holds an annual dinner dance and awards celebration at 6:30 p.m. at Russo’s on the Bay. The honorary dinner chairman is Pat LaFontaine, 2003 inductee into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Thurs., Feb. 26 – The Little Neck-Douglaston Memorial Day Parade Organization holds its 2004 annual fund-raiser dinner dance at Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows with cocktails starting at 7 p.m. and dinner at 8 p.m. There is a silent auction and 16-piece band. Call 718 229-3200.

Thurs., Feb. 26 New York Families for Autistic Children holds its six annual dinner dance at Russo’s on the Bay honoring Councilman Hiram Monserrate, Southwest Queens Rotary Club and Cure Autism Now founders Albert Enayati, Heidi Roger and Sallie Bernard as well as Spotlight Autism producer Jonathan Griffith. Honorary dinner chairman is Pat LaFontaine, 2003 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee. Cocktails at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner.

Tues., March 2 – Queens Center for Progress offers an Evening of Fine Food sponsored by Terrace on the Park and featuring recipes from some of Queens finest restaurants as well as the Joel Miele family, Gloria D’Amico, Joe Previte and Frank Macchio. The event honoring David Weprin, Jacqueline Arrington as chef of the year and Borough President Helen Marshall is the honorary chairperson begins at 6:30 p.m.
