Computer lab donated to Parker Jewish

The Parker Jewish Institute of New Hyde Park, one of the leading centers for the health care and rehabilitation of seniors, has received a brand new computer lab courtesy of Custom Computer Specialists, Inc.
Five brand new computers, along with flat panel monitors and all the necessary hook ups were donated to the Parker Jewish Institute to provide the residents a way to stay in contact with family via email, shop online, receive entertainment, and everything else that the Internet has to offer.
&#8220The computers are brand new, and they're gorgeous,” said Karen Senecal, spokesperson for the Parker Jewish Institute.
The computers are set up in a room dedicated to their use, where residents are free to use them at their will. Not only is staff stationed in the room to assist with the use of the computers, but some residents willingly stay in the room to provide others help.
&#8220There is staff and even residents stay in the computer room and help other people out with using the machines,” Senecal said.
Custom Computer Specialists, Inc. specializes in large technology projects and functional IT outsourcing and has been in the business the last 27 years. They also service all staff computers at the Parker Jewish Institute, and were enthusiastic to make the donation.
&#8220They were really willing to donate the computers,” Senecal said.
