Discussing domestic violence

Leaders of Shalom Task Force (STF), a leading agency dealing with domestic violence in the Jewish community, recently met with state legislators in Albany to discuss the issues facing families who are victims of domestic violence.
Hosted by Assemblymember Audrey Pheffer and attended by numerous legislators, the reception culminated in a special meeting with Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver in which STF leaders discussed the issues facing victims of domestic violence and the broad range of services the organization offers to the Jewish community.
Since 1992, Shalom Task Force has aimed to raise community awareness and help women and families struggling in abusive relationships. STF’s programs and services reach out to thousands of New Yorkers each year.
