Prince appointed medical director of Q-LIRI

Dr. Simon E. Prince, FACP, FASN, one of the youngest dialysis center medical directors in the nation, has been appointed medical director by the Queens-Long Island Renal Institute, Inc. (Q-LIRI).

The appointment is consistent with this dynamic, ultra-modern hemodialysis facility, conveniently located on the lobby level of the Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation in New Hyde Park

Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine as a diplomate in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, Prince has gained recognition as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology.

His training includes experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Kidney transplant training at the Rogosin Institute-New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College.

Q-LIRI’s medical director is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the NYU School of Medicine, and has won accolades for teaching medical students and residents at local hospitals.

Prince gives community service lectures and teaches Nephrology at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He is active at North Shore University Hospital and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Medical Staff Society and the North Shore Physician Organization.

In fact, Prince was the youngest ever president of the medical staff at North Shore Hospital. He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation, Renal Physicians Association and the American College of Physicians.
