New schools at Metropolitan Avenue Campus

Students, educators and elected officials celebrated the long-awaited opening of two schools at the Metropolitan Avenue Campus in Forest Hills by hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, September 23.

The Metropolitan Avenue Campus, which has been in the works for nearly two decades, will house a middle school and a high school as well as a separate high school and will create an additional 1,911 seats for students in Queens. The high school and intermediate-high school each have their own instructional spaces, library, cafeteria and meeting rooms.
