‘Top Women in Business’ to honor Fox 5 reporter Tai Hernandez

The Queens Courier and Queens Business will once again recognize the achievements of women during the upcoming Top Women in Business Awards and Networking Dinner on Thursday, May 19, in addition to honoring “Woman of the Year” Fox 5 reporter Tai Hernandez and New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly with the “Best Man of the Year” award.

This annual event recognizes women who, in addition to making positive impacts in the business world, are also active in giving back to their communities.

Bombardier, TD Bank, PSCH Inc., Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care & Rehabilitation, Flushing Bank, Community National Bank, The New York Daily News, Con Edison, NY1 News and Queens Country Savings Bank will sponsor the event.

Top Women in Business will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at Terrace on the Park, located at 52-11 111th Street. It will include a trade show, networking and an awards ceremony.

Proceeds of this year’s raffles will be donated to the Queens Boy Scouts of America.

Included in the raffles will be two chances to win a card redeemable for a trip to Cancun courtesy of Wide World Travel. The trip includes four nights and five days for two adults and two children at Ocean Spa Resort or Laguna Suites.

Other raffle prizes include two roundtrip tickets on JetBlue Airways and four tickets to the Sunday, May 22 concert Lyrics & Lyricists, donated by Benefits Advisory Service, Inc.
