Cops search for fake Staples account creator

ASTORIA — Police were looking for a woman who they said illegally set up a Staples credit card account with stolen information.

The suspect, described as a female white or Latino, allegedly took the victim’s information and made purchases with the account March 17, according to investigators.

She was seen wearing a white coat and black pants, police said.
