Steve was the principal and founder of Steve Wei, CPAs. As a partner of Wei, Wei & Co., LLP, he is in charge of overall management and administration of the firm’s accounting and tax practice, including directing the activities of managerial, professional and support staff, and coordinating manpower needs, among other resources.
Steve has over fifteen years experience in auditing and is in charge of quality control within the firm. He is a quality control reviewer of reports and related workpapers for engagements which he is not directly associated with, ensuring compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and other professional standards.
Recognized for his expertise in both audit and tax, Steve has lectured at many professional organizations, such as the Chinese American Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Taiwanese American CPA Association, and is frequently called upon to write articles on current issues in taxation.
Steve has fulfilled and exceeded the continuing professional education requirements under the Government Auditing Standards, the “Yellow Book,” issued by the Comptroller General.
Prior to establishing his own practice in 1969, Steve worked in a mid-sized accounting firm on audit, review, and compilation engagements, as well as on tax engagements.
