Stalker harasses woman with car, pistol: Post

QUEENS VILLAGE — Hell hath no fury like a stalker scorned.

According to court documents, a Queens Village woman was confronted by a stalker two days after an order of protection had barred him from going near her, the New York Post reported.

Court papers said 19-year-old Sony Balan followed the woman in his 1997 Nissan Maxima and crashed into her car around 6 p.m. Dec. 30 near 221st Street and 104th Avenue, the newspaper reported.

According to the documents, he followed her home an hour later and pulled out a pistol, firing three shots into the air after a man there told him to leave, the Post reported.

Balan later allegedly sent the object of his affection a text in which he admitted to having seen a cop car just pull away from her house, according to the newspaper.

District Attorney Richard Brown’s office said Balan was arrested Jan. 3 and charged with weapon possession, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and aggravated harassment, said the Post.
