Students Tour Tenement Museum

During the fall semester, members of the Irish and Italian culture clubs at Astoria’s St. John’s Preparatory School visited the Lower East Side Tenement Museum. As noted, the visitors listened to stories about the many hardships that the early immigrants experienced as they struggled to survive and assimilate themselves in their new country. The trip concluded with dinner at the Clinton Street Baking Company.
