Glendale Kids Get the Scoop on Poop

Before classes ended for the year, sixth-graders at P.S./I.S. 119 in Glendale got a lesson on the dangers of dog waste during a presentation by Department of Sanitation District Supervisor Bill Doak at an “environmental awareness day” organized by the office of Assemblyman Mike Miller. As shown, the sixth-graders made posters, which were displayed outside the school, urging dog owners to clean up after their pets. The students are shown along with Doak, Dorie Figliola of Miller’s office, P.S./I.S. 119 Principal Jeanne Fagan and teacher Anna West.
